Gluten Free at Walt Disney World - 'Ohana
Last night we dined at 'Ohana for the first time ever! I am excited to share all about our Gluten Free dining experience at 'Ohana!
'Ohana is an all you care to enjoy restaurant at Disney's Polynesian Resort. The menu features Polynesian style food, and meats cooked over an oak fire.
The Cast Member who seated us made sure that the Chef came right out to speak to us, go over the menu and had some allergy rolls brought out for us.
The allergy rolls were heated well, and we each had one. I might have had more but I was too excited for the rest of the meal!
Pretty much at the same time we were brought out a super yummy salad. The only thing that was different from the non-gluten free salad was it didn't have the little crispy wontons on it.
Next, both Cam and I were brought out chicken wings, a veggie stir fry, and white rice. Everything on this platter was delish! We were also brought sweet-n-sour sauce (the peanut sauce contains gluten) for our wings but honestly they didn't even need them.
When we were about half way done with the appetizer platter, our server started bringing around the meats.
All of the meats they bring around from the grill are Gluten Free. There is a Chicken, Steak and Shrimp. We didn't get any pics of this because it just all happened so fast! Since the meats are all safe for a gluten allergy I am sure you can find some pics of what they look like other places!
The chicken is dark meat which isn't our favorite, but it was very flavorful and yummy! Our favorites were the steak and the shrimp.
As the meal came to an end, we were brought dessert! It was a small vanilla cake, with a giant scoop of ice cream and chocolate sauce pilled with berries. We both enjoyed it!
Overall, this is one of the yummiest meals we have had in a long time. Even though some of the things you can't have with a gluten allergy are the things that people rave about.
My Disney Date night wear includes ears from the Shop Disney, Chambray Button Down is from Vineyard Vines, shorts are from Lilly Pulitzer, Bag is from Harveys and isn't currently but a similar silhouette of this Stitch bag can be found at Ever After Jewerly Co in Disney Springs, and last but not least my shoes are from Prep Obsessed.
