Yesterday we got all dolled up and headed to the Spring Dapper Day event at Walt Disney World.
After years of living through my Instagram friends I was so excited to attend Dapper Day but I really didn't know what to expect. I thought it might help some Dapper newbies to share our first timers account.
I kind of had an idea of what to wear from Instagram. You can search the #DapperDay posts to see some really amazing outfits!
We decided to go with a couples look subtly inspired by our favorites Donald and Daisy Duck. Most of the pieces we had in our closet already but we found the rest to put together this Disneybound pretty quickly!
Dapper Day Couple's Outfit Details
Cam is wearing a shirt, pants and belt he already had in his closet. We picked up this Donald inspired tie from J.Crew, shop the tie here.
He also got a new pair of Vans with laces that reminded us of Donald as well. You can find those here.
I have on a Bowband from the amazing Rarity by Casey. She was able to get this done for me last minute and it really pulled the entire look together. You can find here shop here, or you can follow her on Instagram here.
My heart sunglasses are from Hello Holiday. You can find the pair I have on here. I want to brag a little bit about how amazing this company is! There was an issue with the order that I placed, and they worked quickly to make it right and make it up to me! I can't brag on them enough. I can't wait to shop with them more.
The top I have on just screamed Daisy to me. It's the Button-Up Peplum Top from J.Crew in rich gold. It is super light weight and comfortable. I found that it runs true to size! You can find the top here.
You guys have already seen this bag 10000 times but it's my favorite Circle Bag from Harveys. It's not currently available but they are also releasing new collections, so be sure to keep an eye out!
Last but not least, I have on the Millennial Pink Magic Band. You can purchase these at Walt Disney World or online here. The cute little rose gold pin on the Magic Band is made by Bibbidi Bobbidi Brooke, and you can find that here.
Thoughts on our first Dapper Day
We had a commitment in the morning, so we weren't able to get to Magic Kingdom until the late afternoon. I think for the next one (which will be Fall!) we will definitely try and make it first thing in the morning. While there were still some awesome looks around the park, from the photos I saw there were more earlier in the day.
I also want to make sure that we get to go over to the Expo next time because from what I saw there were some fun booths and photo backdrops there as well.
It was fun to come with friends. Dapper Day is basically a day of people watching and taking photos. I would recommend just making this a chill park day with a dinner or lunch reservation. Everyone was so friendly, and even those who weren't dressed up were complimenting our looks.
We loved seeing the park, especially Main Street, filled with colorful Dapper outfits. Cam and I are already planning our Dapper Day style for Fall.
