This dining experience took place June 2018.
The Grand Floridan Cafe is located inside Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. The restaurant itself is very outdated in my opinion, although it has a beautiful view of the Grand Floridan grounds.
It's located on the main floor of the hotel, close to 1900 Park Fare, the character dining experience at the hotel.
You can always count on being able to make a reservation at the Grand Floridian Cafe, and after dining here I think I know why. I had high expectations for The Grand Floridian Cafe because I always see people eating there, and I had eaten at 1900 Park Fare, and really enjoyed it, before so I figured since they are so close together the food would be similar.
The Grand Floridan Cafe's lunch menu is more like a brunch menu. Instead of sticking with our typical Mickey Waffles Cam and I decided to try something different. He ordered the Artisanal Burger (which as it turns out isn't as fancy as it sounds) and I ordered the Eggs Benedict.
The food took a really long time to come out, and there really wasn't that many people in the restaurant so that was kind of annoying. Once the food came, we were so hungry. Typically when you are THAT hungry, anything tastes amazing but that wasn't really the case here.
I don't want to bash them too hard, because the food wasn't awful, and we didn't get glutened. The food was just bland and boring and in my opinion super over priced. I think with our two meals, two iced coffees and tip the total nearly $50.
I don't think we will be back, unless we hear this place gets a refresh!
