THE NICOLINA.CO BLOG
Lularoe has been popping up everywhere recently and with the bright colors and comfy style it's no wonder why.
I was so excited to try out some pieces when LulaRoe consultant Chelsea Nelson reached out to me.
The following is a review post, although pieces were provided to me by Chelsea, all opinions are my own. Be sure to read the entire post because we also teamed up for an amazing giveaway!
First up is one of my favorites. The Madison skirt.
I am typically a size 10 in skirts, and in the Madison I take a Medium. The length of the Madison is perfect, when worn at my waist it hits mid-knee. The waist is stretchy and has two pockets (anything with pockets is the BEST) I love that this skirt can be dressed up or dressed down.
Next I have on the Nicole dress. I personally think this dress looks best when belted, although this isn't a pattern would have picked normally I think it's super fun for summer. The length is great and super comfy and light weight.
The flowy skirt is super flattering as well. I also take a Medium in the Nicole dress.
What LulaRoe has become super known for is their butter soft leggings. Let's just say Chelsea sent me two pairs, and I have already bought more.
When paired with an Irma tunic, it's a super comfy outfit that also leaves you looking very put together.
The tunics run on the large side and while I am usually a Medium/Large in tops, I take a Small in the Irma.
I have two because I love them so much. I have paired them with everything from jeans and sneakers to tucked into a pencil skirt.
a side view of the Irma to show the length in the back
In the leggings I tried both the OS (one size) and the TC (tall curvy) I decided to go with the OS. I am typically a size 10 in pants.
These leggings are so good, I haven't bought anything but LulaRoe since I tried these out.
Next up are the Cassie pencil skirt and the Classic T.
I have worn this skirt so much since Chelsea sent it to me. I love the length and the thickness of the material makes it super flattering. I have worn it with and without tights, and with shirts tucked in and left out.
This Cassie is a size Medium. It hits me in about the same place as the Madison skirt, mid to lower knee.
The Classic T is a super versatile item to have as well. The length is long enough in the back to be worn with leggings but it also works great tucked into the skirt.
I am wearing a Medium in the Classic T.
It's so hard to find skirts that are modest not mini. I think the next items I need to add to my collection are the Amelia dress and a few more Classic T's. One of the best (and worst?) things about LulaRoe is their patterns are super limited! So if you see something you have to snatch it up!
Ready to start your LulaRoe addiction. Enter the giveaway Chelesa was so kind to offer below. All of the details are in the rafflecopter post below (make sure you join Chelsea's Facebook group!)
It's Sunday! Time to link up with the Blogger Tribe for Sunday Lately.
what seemed to be one of the longest weeks ever. I posted a little bit about it on my Instagram account on Friday.
Just one of those weeks that life keeps throwing some additional curves at you. We made it through to the other side and I am looking forward to April!
the GF & AF Expo next weekend in Atlanta as one of their official bloggers! Read more about it in this post here, and enter to win tickets as well!
YOU CAN DO IT.
As a small business owner who also enjoys their occasional day off it's something I am constantly reminding myself.
some posts that I am ...
the post that I am writing. I love working with brands and sharing my opionons on products I love. There are a lot of good posts coming up soon!
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone remembered to Spring forward and drink all the coffee. I know we did!
Join me every Sunday for the Sunday Lately link up brought to you by blogger tribe. Prompts for the following week will always be at the bottom of the post. If you are a blogger we would love to have you join!
Let's get to this weeks prompts!
A schedule for us this week! It's been helping me to take some time to plan out the week on Sunday's. Of course things always come up but it is nice to have an outline!
Cute KATE SPADE Minnie items like this Laptop sleeve. It's the last day to save 25% on anything Kate Spade using the code PURPOSE.
Winter sweaters for shorts? Why do we never have spring in Georgia? I feel like it goes from freezing to HOT.
To clean the house, it's pretty much the story of my life recently. And laundry who has time for laundry?
All the yummies that my friends are munching on at Epcot's Flower and Garden festival. Hello frushi and violet lemonade.
a lot of lettering with my fresh new pens.
My favorite are the Tombow, dual brush pens. I have found that working on my lettering really calms me down and is a good way to let my creative juices flow.
As much as I like to pretend I sit at my desk designing all day, 90% of my job is social media, paper work, ordering things and packing up orders.
my girls Meghan and Jenn, as well as Cam. Without their support and motivation, I wouldn't be anywhere near ready for the Disney Princess Half and I probably wouldn't have even signed up to be honest.
I just looked back at my runs in RunKeeper and I have logged nearly 200 miles this year!
Some new tees so we have fresh designs to take on our trip for photos next month!
I've been working on my Spotify playlist, especially for race day which is exactly 3 weeks from today.
I am throwing some classic Disney songs into my usually TSwift, Macklemore mix inspired by my Disney race!
to get some more info regarding said race this week. They haven't announced corals or shown any photos of the official merch. I will be stalking my computer until then.
It's time for another round of Sunday Lately hosted by Blogger Tribe. If you are a blogger we would love to have you join our link up.
I love using it as a fresh start for the week, to get me back on track with my writing.
Cameron and I have been busy completing new designs for our tee shop Happily Ever Tees. We have all the supplies to make it happen, now we just have to make the time.
Honestly we have been basically treading water to get through learning a new skill in screen printing, managing all of the new supplies that come with it, and the flood of orders we found ourselves in.
I have designed next to nothing since early Fall. So getting back to the basics of what I love to do has been so refreshing.
We went through the photos from our recent visit to PGH and I fell in love with this shot Cameron took. Is that wrong to say I really like a photo of myself?
It's from our visit to Phipps Conservatory, you can read more about our PGH trip here.
I don't have much on repeat right now. I go through stages of listening to music while I work and watching a show. Right now I am catching up on The Good Wife. I feel like it's getting a little boring - but I also feel like I am too far in to not finish up the last season that's on Hulu.
Then I will be fresh out of shows. Any suggestions?
I have been doing a good job of getting ideas out of my head and in a draft blog post. I have a few that I add a little bit to as I come up with more things to say.
I have found it takes the burden out of feeling like I need to sit down and type for hours at a time to get a post scheduled.
We are scheduling some time for family to come over this week. We have our Disney Princess Half Marathon/White + Moss family vacation coming up in just over a month. So we are planning a fun Disney night to make some plans, eat pizza and cupcakes and wear our ears of course!
Welcome to Sunday Lately, a weekly link up hosted by Blogger Tribe.
It's been a busy week, what else is new. This week has been filled with running, work and actually putting up blog posts YAY so I can't complain too much.
Let's jump right into today's post, we would love to have you join us, just add your link to our post below.
The Happily Ever Tees website and logo. It needed a fresh look and style with the new year and new direction that the business is moving.
I tossed the orchid for an aqua that is the color of my walls and changed the white to black. I think it makes it pop, especially on the website. I always feel inspired to change things up when I need to order business cards or stickers.
I also have been adding review pages and more things to update our customer experience. Building a website is no joke hard work, but I am so proud of it.
Hey remember that time I signed up for a half marathon? Back in February I made the decision along with some of my favorite Princesses and my very own Prince Charming.
All the coffee all week long. When ever we are busy or go out of town we get ourselves used to like double the amount of coffee we are used to.
We recently tossed our Keurig and decided to use a french press. It takes a little bit longer to make but the taste is so worth it.
Lots of running clothes! And layering up! It's been cold and I have to buckle down on my running before my Half Marathon I posted about Friday!
See yesterday's post about all my favorite running things right now!
Content with the mess that is my house and life right now. Literal mess. Ever since we got these new floors, which I LOVE, the house has been a big fat mess.
We contained the mess to one room.
Fingers crossed we can get to Ikea and get a garage sale together and SOON or I will for sure go crazy.
It's the first Sunday Lately of 2016 and the first week that is officially hosted by Blogger Tribe (more on Blogger Tribe in yesterday's post)! Cue the confetti!
ATTENTION BLOGGERS: We would love to have you join us. You can always view the topics for the next week at the bottom of this week's post. We would also love to have you join our Blogger Tribe Facebook group.
A "to-blog" list. I spent some time the last week of December planning out posts through mid January. I am hoping this brings me some motivation to keep it going through most of 2016. Now all I need to do is fill in a few missing photos and finish off some writing and I will be all set.
It is so comforting, and much less stress when my posts are ready to go!
New and exciting places to explore in Pittsburgh. We go home tomorrow, but Cameron and I love exploring new cities together. We went to the Pittsburgh Penguins game last night, and we had so much fun!
Out shorts for hats and gloves! We have been so HOT the last few weeks. Pittsburgh has been freezing and it's not much warmer at home. I'm looking forward to a little winter and maybe a little dusting of snow!
Not much so far! It's the first week of 2016 and I lists on lists!
The smoothies that we have been making on the daily at home.
Its been balanced out by the walking but I have been eating and eating this weekend!
