AERIE SWIM REVIEW UPDATE JULY 7th, 2020!

Hey friends! Summer is in full swing and even though it looks a little different than we are used to … summer still means swimwear!

Aerie continues to be my pick for well made, cute, flattering and budget friendly swimwear. Since this post was originally published in 2015, styles have changed and the Aerie Swim Summer 2020 collection was too cute not to show off. That’s why I decided update this post to show you my current Aerie Swim favorites.

You will notice I have only selected suits that will work with larger chests and have full coverage booty because that is what I prefer! I would never suggest anything that I would not buy myself.

Aerie does an amazing job of detailing everything you need to know about the swimsuit in the listing. You can check for pad types, booty coverage and even if the suit has adjustable straps.

OK! Now back to the original post from Summer 2015:

Part of the reason I redesigned my blog to be nicolina.co is bring you more reviews about product that I love.

It took me a long time to find my perfect swimsuit brand. But I have, and today I am so excited to share why I love Aerie swimwear so much with this Aerie swim review. (PS this post is sponsored in no way by Aerie, all opinions are my own, but the post does contain affiliate links)

I first ordered an Aerie swimsuit last summer, after I trying (and loving) their bras. Based on the reviews I read, the suits ran true to size, which I have also found to be true. I love that because elsewhere I have needed to go up a size (or two) to get the top to fit correctly (not so great for the self confidence). I am typically a size 8-10 in tops, Medium or Large depending on how tight across the chest, and a Large top fits me perfectly.

Most, if not all, of the strapless tops also have a tie strap which is removable. The cup area is where the Aerie swimsuits really shine. That is usually the most difficult part of the swimsuit to fit me, and with Aerie I don't have to worry about it.

Their bottoms are nice as well. I love that they have an options of different cuts and styles. They carry everything from a classic bikini bottom, hipsters, midi-waisted, high-waisted and sky high-waisted. I have a pair of the hipster, as well as the pair you see in the photo below which are the midi-waisted. The hipster is more of a classic bikini bottom with some extra coverage on the sides. You can see a pair of those here. I decided to go with the midi-waisted this time, because the reviews were so great, and I totally agree. They offer A LOT more coverage, without being too high waisted (I'm not sure I can pull that off). I am a 10 in bottoms usually, I ordered a Large, and they fit perfectly. I love that with the midi-waisted I'm not self conscience while wearing my swimsuit.

I love Aerie for more than just their swimwear. Their Aerie Real campaign celebrates real girls. They design their products for everyone from thin to curvy girls. They use girls of all sizes in their ad work and they don't photoshop out "imperfections". In fact, in their bra section, you can actually see girls in your size wearing each bra, it helps so much when shopping online!
